Think about having Richard G. Herles come to speak to your class.
In the past ten years, Richard is a sports writer and a children’s author. He has more than 250 magazine and newspaper articles published. For the past year, he has turned his writing toward the children’s market. Currently, Richard has a picture book that will hopefully be in print in 2007 and a middle grade novel that is currently under revision. A second middle-grade novel and a nonfiction novel in the works.
Richard is available to come and talk to your students.
Career Day talks on both Writing and the Construction Business –stressing that what your students are learning today will be used when they get jobs.
The Writing and Rewriting Process -deals with how to pre-write, write and rewrite portfolio pieces.
With sufficient notification, he will tailor his talk to your classes needs.
Richard can also come to to class for Portfolio Workshops.
